I am a 32-year-old, college-educated native New Yorker living on the Upper West Side with two cats. One of them is sweet and loving; the other is skittish and wary of strangers. They’re both rescues and spoiled beyond reason. I’ve lived with cats all my life and been a cat sitter on and off for the last 12 years, when my work allows it: I am a Montessori-certified teacher in Manhattan, and volunteer for a theater group that raises funds for charities through its ticket sales. I have also been a dog walker, although I prefer cats. Before teaching jobs included being the dog wrangler for two off-Broadway shows and volunteering for Dew Haven, a wild animal refuge featured on the former Animal Planet TV show Yankee Jungle.

Some of the cats I had growning up with were ill (kidney disease, diabetes) and I administered their daily medications including pilling and injections. One of them is now 22 and still living comfortably. I’m experienced trimming claws, cleaning litter boxes, and finding the right menu for picky eaters. I am also happy to sit in your home and read a book and keep your cats company. I cannot stay overnight at your home
