Hello! I'm Julia - I'm a writer, event organizer, and full-time cat lady!

I've done cat rescue since 2022, specializing in socializing cats who are still learning to like people. While I (obviously) love a friendly velcro cat, I have a particular soft spot for the cantankerous, the rude, the shy, and the crotchety. Maybe it's the toxoplasmosis!

The current regents of my & my husband’s household are our two cats, Frankie and Toothless Bill, and our beautiful perfect geriatric chihuahua, Garcia.

Doing rescue has given me experience with administering medication, and making snap decisions in emergencies. I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and whatever mess your cat can make, I've probably cleaned up worse.

I'm ready to meet your cat(s) where they are - whether it's a long, active play session, or a slow blink from across the room, I'm able to give them what they need to feel cared for while you're away.

With a standard, friendly cat, a typical 30-minute session with me might look like: - A hello at the door! - A comprehensive litter box clean (I hate a smelly box more than anything) - A good, hearty play session to stimulate hunting drive, followed by... - ...food, to complete the hunting cycle! - We'll wrap with cuddles, if that's what they're into - Finally, I'll send you pictures and a written update on how everything went.

That said, all cats are different - many cats don't want to cuddle or play with strangers, and may just want to watch someone from afar. I tailor each visit to the cats' (and owner's) needs.
