KiKi’s Cat Sitting 🐱

Hi! I’m Kristen but my friends call me KiKi :) I’m a lifelong cat lover and former cat owner to three wonderful fur children—Mr. Mittens, Clementine, and Nibs. All of my feline companions were adopted from various animal shelters. I first adopted sassy Mr. Mittens in 2008 with sweet Clementine to follow shortly after the same year and polydactyl Nibs joining our family in 2009. They gave me some of the best years and while I miss them every day, the special bonds we shared will stay with me for the rest of my life (as will the portrait tattoo I got of them on my arm, lol). I know as well as any cat owner that cats are family, so I make the effort to extend that same grace and care to all of the cats I spend time with through play, grooming, feeding, and extra attention in the form of extensive petting sessions.

By day, I work in book publishing and I sometimes freelance as a fashion stylist and writer. I’ve been a professional pet sitter (cats, dogs, rodents) since 2015 and a cat lover since I was a toddler, as well as a volunteer at various animal shelters, so I feel very comfortable around cats and am fully aware of their unique sensibilities. I can’t wait to meet your cat!

As a cat sitter, I make sure to spend quality time with the pets I sit while also respecting their boundaries (i.e., I don’t force play or cuddles). My primary care includes feeding, play, and attention, and I feel totally comfortable with additional tasks such as bathing and grooming. I also have experience administering oral and suppository medications as well as injections from my previous experience as a professional pet sitter, when I had a few clients whose cats had pre-existing conditions such as diabetes.

I have pet sitting experience with cats of all ages ranging from young kittens to seniors, so I am able to cater to each cat’s specific needs especially in multi-cat households. I should note that I love to give treats and am an expert cat cuddler, and I take GREAT pet photos which my clients always love!
