Alexis Kurtz, Experienced 15+ Years of Kitty Kare

Hello!

My name is Alexis, it's nice to meet you! My first love and intended vocation as a child was for animals and to one day become a veterinarian. I pivoted a bit when the Theatre Bug bit me in high school, focusing my efforts on exploring creative pursuits as a working actor in Connecticut, and then here in NYC after relocating here in 2022. That said, my love for animals has never wavered! Not only did I grow up around animals, (first cats, then dogs, then birds, rabbits, frogs, fish and hermit crabs!), but I have been an on and off animal care provider for all sorts of critters since 2010. I have a soft spot for kitties as they were my first experience with animals, and I have been known to be a "Cat Whisperer" of sorts, as I have a high level of patience, empathy, and understanding for various cat behaviors. I volunteered at a senior and behavior-specific cat sanctuary for a year and soon after, my partner and I adopted our own older fellow, Horatio who is now 15 and ALWAYS has something to say! I always lead with my brain when it comes to animal care, as it is a very important responsibility to keep your pet safe, but my heart follows right behind, as all animals deserve the highest levels of our love.

I am highly experienced in kitty kare and would be happy to cover a variety of services. If there is something you and your kitty need specifically that is not mentioned here, please feel free to ask! I am happy to:

• Cuddle, cuddle, CUDDLE!
• If we're not very cuddly, I'm happy to sit at a comfortable distance and offer some respectful company!
• I am a responsible server of food and water! (I used to be a bartender and server! :)
• I am comfortable being the Bad Guy who administers medication, including injections!
• I'm happy to stay for a Slumber Party if you need to go away for a few days!
• Experienced with kittens and senior cats!
• I will work with your availability needs!
• Within 10 seconds I will fall in LOVE with your fur baby :)
