Hello! My name is Rhys Wiseman. I am originally from the UK, lived in South Carolina for about 16 years, and made the move to Boston in 2021. I have been a professional body piercer since 2017, the same year I got my first cat, Chester. I adopted him when he was already 6 years old - prior to adopting him I thought I was a dog only person! A year after I adopted Chester, I was working long days and wanted to get him a buddy. This is what prompted me to adopt my second cat, Gizmo. I adopted him from a shelter too, and he and Chester quickly became inseparable. When I first got him, he was on an anxiety medication, but he settled in so well his doctor gave us the green light to ween him off of them. My partner and I moved in together about 2 years ago, and he has an adult Shiba Inu dog, named Ronin. He and I quickly became best friends, and he and the cats get along great. Over the years, I have also owned a Ball Python, Veiled Chameleon, Leopard Geckos, and aquariums with all kinds of fish and aquatic frogs, and an Axolotl. Needless to say I love animals and am comfortable with all kinds! These days I run an online shop and spend quality time with the animals while I work. With my newfound time not working in retail, I'm excited to take care of all the pets in the Boston area. I have reliable transportation and am happy to drive to you. I love spending quality time with pets, and will always provide the best care I can. If the kitty likes toys, I'll play! If they like naps, I'll sit with them and give them rubs. And if they want to be left the heck alone and just want to be fed and a clean litter box, I'm happy to do that too. Expect photos of your fur (or scaled) babies every visit! I would love to be your pet's recurring caretaker and believe that bond will be stronger each time I visit. Working as a body piercer full-time for so long, I am easily able to read anxiousness and various other forms of body language. I know if a cat is feeling standoffish, and will always respect that. I'm aware that I will be a stranger in their home, and I have to play by their rules! I have moderate experience providing medication, pill and liquid, but not unless you, your cat, and myself are all comfortable with this! At minimum I will provide the following services: Cleaning and refilling food and water bowls, provide fresh food and water, maintain the litter box, grooming, cuddles and scratches, ample playtime and enrichment. In addition to pets, I'm also a houseplant nerd. I'm happy to water or provide any maintenance on your plants too!
