Virna the real Cat Lady

Hello, I am a 55 year old freelancer living in the East Village since 1992. I spend my free time meeting with friends, cuddling and playing with my beloved rescued cat Circe and I also enjoy attending visual art & performing art events. I had cats for most of my life, and Circe was one the cats I was fostering during the pandemic. She ended up staying with me. I was a volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society in SoHo from 2017 to 2022. I am an advocate for animal well-being and I've been helping friends who have issues with their cats and dogs as well as doing my best to be proactive in finding conscious adoption/foster families within my network of friends in New York. My work schedule is pretty flexible, and I'm available weekdays, and weekends. My goal is to offer very loving and reliable cat care for residents in Lower Manhattan areas: Gramercy park, East Village, West Village, NoHo, Lower East Side. Keeping my area of service limited around my current location allows me to move around quickly and to be on schedule while taking care of my client's beloved cats. It also allows me to dedicate extra time in a visit if needed, offering my best service based on each cat needs. I believe in the emotional connection and unspoken understanding between us and our animal companions. I am constantly learning more about animal behavior, emotions, personality, as well as the ways they are engaging and communicating with us. I’m doing my best to be a spiritual, empathetic person which is helping me to relate to animals on a conscious and mindful level.
