Especially if a pet is a bit shy I'm giving them time to get comfortable with my presence. I'm following their lead to engage in pets, playful moments or sometimes we just relax close to each others

Hello, I am a 50+ year old freelancer living in the East Village since 1992. I spend my free time meeting with friends, cuddling and playing with my beloved rescued cat Circe, and I also enjoy attending visual art & performing art events. I had cats for most of my life, and Circe the last cat I was fostering during the pandemic.I was a volunteer at Best Friends Animal Society in SoHo from 2017 to 2022. I am an animal well-being advocate, and I've been helping people to improve their relationship with their furry friends. I believe there is a spiritual/magical dynamic in our interspecific relationships. My cats are notoriously shy around other humans, but they’ve absolutely blossomed around Virna. They love to play and get lots of pets, which puts us at such ease while we’re gone. Virna is the best!
Virna is a dream! My kitties can be a little skittish around other humans and now they're out and about. They play, they ask for pets, and it's all because of Virna's kind nature. Highly recommend!
Virna went above and beyond checking in our kitties, making sure they had food and scooping the litter (probably way more than we do!) Our kitties are easily scared, but Virna made them feel comfortable enough to come out to investigate and eat normally, which was our main concern. We'll definitely be using Virna again!
