Before caring for a pet, it’s important for me to understand their routine, personality, and specific needs. I like to know their feeding schedule, exercise requirements, and any medical conditions or medications they may have. It’s also helpful to learn about their temperament—such as how they interact with people, other animals, or new environments—and any behaviors to watch for. Knowing what makes them comfortable, what they enjoy, and what may cause stress allows me to provide consistent, safe, and attentive care. I also ask about emergency contacts and veterinary information so I’m fully prepared in any situation. To provide the best possible care, I offer a free meet-and-greet visit before starting any in-home pet sitting. This gives us a chance to meet, helps me understand your pet’s habits, temperament, and health needs, and allows your pet to get comfortable with me.

I tailor activities to each pet’s personality and energy level. For dogs, this can include walks, light jogging, playing fetch or tug-of-war, practicing basic commands, or exploring nearby parks. For cats, I enjoy interactive play with feather toys or laser pointers, puzzle toys, and relaxed bonding time like brushing or cuddling if they enjoy it. For all pets, I focus on activities that keep them mentally stimulated, physically healthy, and emotionally comfortable—while making sure they feel loved and engaged.
