I am currently a student at Montclair State University so my schedule will vary depending on my class schedule. I have classes throughout the summer Mon-Thurs so as it stands I am available on weekends throughout the day, and Mondays and Thursdays after 3:30 pm (my classes end at 3pm). This schedule is subject to change with fall class schedules.

About Oona C.
Safety, trust & environment
When conducting pet care in a client’s home my m.o. is strictly following house rules. If your little furry friend is used to daily outside time, and is allowed outside, then supervised outside time is a must to keep them happy. But they are not allowed outside or on the furniture, just as much fun can be had playing or getting belly rubs on the floor and off the couch! Walks will depend on the time you request that they last for, however I always go at the dog’s pace and allow them to get all of their sniffs and business done so they can be fully taken care of by the time you return. I not only want your pet to be happy and healthy but I want you to be able to leave your pet at home with no stress so you can focus on the day ahead, and return to your four-legged family members stress free!
Information Oona C. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know if your pet requires medical attention, has any behavioral concerns or is special needs, and how you prefer the pet to be taken care of. If possible, I would also love to know if the pet has any medical or dietary needs that MUST happen at the same time every day so that in the event that I undergo any unexpected circumstances I can prioritize your pet in my schedule and make sure they will be attended to safely and on time.
A typical day
Depending on the type of pet, my preferred activities tend to vary…for high energy and younger dogs, outside time or a long walk is a must! If the dog is allowed by the owner to play fetch in a large fenced-in area, chasing the ball is always a good way to burn that puppy energy! For low-energy, physically impaired, or senior dogs, a nice slow meditative walk, and some soothing belly rubs back at home is always a wonderful addition to the day. I love to play with energetic cats and show them all of the attention we know they desperately crave, but for the more shy cats I prefer to just sit near them and chat, so they can warm up to me at their own pace. For smaller, more skittish animals like mice, rats, rabbits, or guinea pigs, i treat them just like I treat shy kitties, they can warm up to me at their own pace, and if they’re ready to interact we’ll take it slow and find a calm way to hang out for the allotted time!

Cat care experience
I’ve been a cat lover since birth. I have cats of my own and have watched various breeds and ages that have granted me experience in proper behavior recognition, administrating medication, safe play, and proper cleanliness for both the cat, and the litter boxes!
