I have been a cat mom for the last five years now and have enjoyed spending time with him a lot. My cat, Oolong, is loveable but has many quirks. He is susceptible to UTIs and is now on a permanent prescription diet. Therefore, I am very experienced in giving oral medication to cats.

I live near Prospect Park and enjoy walking and biking there. I think spending my time there while walking a dog there would be very lovely. I'm always envious of the dog owners in the park playing with their pups! I like to play fetch and throw with them at dog parks if they are comfortable with that setting. And if not, we can always just sit together and cuddle. Besides taking care of your pets during my visits, I can also help with minor tasks while you’re away, such as watering plants or bringing in the mail. I have a fulltime job with hybrid office requirements. I'm available all day Fridays to Mondays and in the evenings Tuesdays to Thursdays.

A typical day

Cat care experience
My cat is currently 5 and a half years old. He’s gold and black, and in great shape—not overweight! It’s hard to maintain a cat’s weight once they hit a certain age. Because he’s a British Shorthair, with a higher risk of heart problems, maintaining a consistent weight is very important. I’ve found that cats can be very active, too. Every cat has different preferences when it comes to toys—you just have to find his favorite. My cat is also a bit high-maintenance; he has a long history of vet visits. Very common stuff, like eye infections, inability to poop, urinary crystals, etc. I’ve gotten pretty handy over the years.

Mindy looked after our cats for three weeks while we were away for our wedding and honeymoon. She did a wonderful job with our two cats and I would recommend her to anyone.
