Availability
I am working part time and have a flexible schedule, and now that I'm pet-less, I am available, even on short notice. I have been going on walks/hikes in our beautiful parks (over 2 miles) and would prefer some four-legged company.

Information Joni W. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your dog has special needs or preferences, or things best to avoid. I really enjoy meeting new pet souls and gaining their (and your!) trust.
A typical day
I've been going on walks and hikes in local parks, like Branchbrook, Weequahic, and Riverfront. I have a car to travel a little further, like South Mountain Reservation, Brookdale Park, Loantaka Park and more. I used to take my dog and my neighbor's dog on walks with my razor scooter or fold up bicycle--I would ride, she or they would trot alongside in no-traffic paved park areas. They LOVED it! If your dog is game (and leash-trained), we could get more exercise in that way, especially if they are very high energy.

Calm Caring Compassionate Companion
Cat care experience
I had an indoor cat from 8 weeks to 18 years, and have handled shelter cats to socialize them and get ready for adoption, even the ones the shelter staff said were impossible to hold. Helped neighbors and roommates with their cats. Love all ages, from kittens to seniors, and can accommodate special needs, including help animals stay calm post surgery and wearing those annoying cones.
Reviews

Joni was a wonderful sitter for Tigger! She communicated well throughout the stay and took great care of him — including giving him his medication and gently comforting him when he was scared. The only minor hiccup was with the Rover card check-in timing (either forgetting or tapping a bit too early), but that’s a small thing. Overall, I’d highly recommend her and would definitely book again!

Joni was absolutely lovely with my beloved cat! I came home to a cat that looked even happier than when I dropped her off. Thank you, Joni!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I cannot recommend Joni highly enough. Joni has been caring for dogs for as long as I’ve known her, and it’s truly a part of who she is. She has a natural ability to connect with animals — the nervous ones, the playful ones, the older ones, every single dog responds to her calm, loving energy. What makes Joni special is not just that she likes dogs, but that she genuinely understands them. She pays attention to their needs, their moods, their routines, and treats every dog with the same level of kindness and respect she would give her own. You can always count on her to be patient, gentle, and completely dedicated. Anyone who trusts their dog with Joni is incredibly lucky. She has spent her whole life caring for animals, and it shows in everything she does. I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and deeply experienced with dogs
