About Jon E.
Communication
Safety, trust & environment
As a homeowner myself, I understand the importance of keeping your home safe, secure, and well cared for—right alongside your pets. I treat every home I enter with the same level of respect and attention I give my own, creating a calm, comfortable environment for animals of all kinds.
Information Jon E. would like to know about your pet
It's important I'm aware of specific pet anxieties so I can work not only to avoid triggering them, but to ensure I take the right approach in making your pet fully comfortable with me as quickly as possible. In addition to that, please let me know of any allergies your pet may have, as I tend to give single ingredient beef liver/lung treats during my meet-and-greets and walks to positively encourage good behavior.
A typical day
In my downtime, I’m usually hiking, reading, or gaming—so whether your pup is a brachycephalic couch potato or a high-drive working breed, I’m in my element. I can also help with training and socialization for puppies, enrichment activities for seniors, medication administration, and more. Whatever your pet needs, I’ve probably done it—and I’m happy to help.

Professional, certified cat care
Cat care experience
I have extensive hands-on experience caring for cats through my volunteer work in the cattery at St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, where I handled daily care, enrichment, feeding, and monitoring for cats with a wide range of temperaments and medical needs. I’m Fear Free® certified and experienced with low-stress handling techniques for anxious, shy, and easily overstimulated cats. I’m also comfortable administering oral medications and injectable medications, including insulin for diabetic cats. Whether your cat is social, selective, or firmly in the “please don’t touch me” camp, I focus on calm, respectful care that keeps stress low and routines consistent.
Reviews

Jon was great, and went far beyond just feeding our cats and taking care of the litter box. We had just suffered the loss of a beloved sibling of our cats and Jon was especially sensitive to their emotional needs- especially one who was grieving hard - even just checking in on them to make sure they were OK. We not only got detailed reports of their activities, but also comments regarding their mood. By the time we returned home from our trip they were back to normal. highly recommend Jon... He cares.

Jon has been an excellent sitter for our cat multiple times. He keeps us well informed of our cat’s activities and does his best to break through the cat’s grumpy demeanor. Highly recommend.

Jon was great! We will definitely work with him again!

Excellent care for our cat while we were away. Jon stopped by daily providing food, water, and meds. He stayed in touch with us throughout the week. Would highly recommend.
