Over the course of my 6 years as a professional cat caregiver, I’ve had the privilege of caring for countless cats and kittens in a variety of settings. Moreover, I’ve also learned how to understand and adjust my services to fit every cat and client’s individual needs. In terms of responsibilities, I was fortunate enough to be trained under the management of Boston’s Number One Pet Resort for multiple years in all manner of cat caregiving. During this time, I acquired caregiving expertise in the proper ways to clean, feed, groom, and monitor cats and their behaviors. By observing these licensed trainers and specialists carry out their daily caretaking roles, I was able to adopt their mastery of cat caregiving and apply it to my own role as an animal caregiver at the resort and in other areas of animal care as well. During my years as a shelter volunteer, I spent countless hours playing with energetic young cats that require lots of energy and excitement on a daily basis. But I also spent many evenings sitting with fearful and skittish strays that felt most comfortable just being in the presence of a trusted human being. In these ways, I understand how cats respond best to a specialized level of care that is individually catered to them. In other words, through all of these experiences, I’ve learned how to make your cat feel as comfortable with me as they do with you.
