Being a stay-at-home mom means my schedule is already centered around caregiving and routines, so adding pet care fits in naturally. I’m home throughout the day, which gives me the flexibility to provide consistent attention—whether that’s feeding, playtime, or companionship. Just like I do with my kids, I make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for on a daily and weekly basis.

It’s important for me to know each pet’s routine, personality, and any special needs ahead of time. Things like feeding schedule, favorite toys or comfort items, exercise habits, and how they usually interact with new people or other animals. I also want to know about any health concerns, medications, allergies, or behaviors to watch for, so I can keep them safe and comfortable. The more I know, the better I can make their time with me feel just like home.
A typical day
I love keeping pets happy, active, and engaged! Depending on each pet’s personality, I’ll mix in fun activities like playtime with toys, fetch, tug-of-war, or interactive games that keep them moving and thinking. For dogs, that might mean walks, sniff-adventures, or training reinforcement, and for cats, feather toys, laser play, or cozy cuddle sessions. I always pay attention to what each pet enjoys most so the time together feels safe, fun, and comforting for them.
