Availability
I am currently on staff at my church right now as outreach and ministry team so my times I am unavailable are Tuesday's, Thursday's, and Friday's after 5:00pm. I go to church on Sunday mornings but I can always watch virtually so I can tend to pets overnight.

I care for animals as I would care for myself I believe in all life is precious and that any life created is family to me which most certainly includes pets. My approach comes from being gentle, reacting/reading body language, minding my emotions and actions because animals are sensitive to those, and just showering them with love the way THEY want to receive it not how I want to give it. It is their comfort and wellbeing over mine and I will do everything in my power to ensure a healthy environment for everybody's animals.

Cat care experience
Over the last two plus years I have been pet sitting for my sister and my aunt's cats and learning how pace myself differently with them than I do with dogs. I move more slowly and speak more quietly to respect their environment and comfort. I know every cat has a very prominent personality, and it takes someone flexible, adaptable, and patient to take good care of them. Thankfully, being around animals in general has taught me to stay out of my comfort zone to ensure they can stay in theirs.

Elliott watched our cat Valentine for 2 weeks and I couldn't be happier with the relationship he formed with him. I am always a little nervous leaving for such an extended time, as he's historically skittish & hides when most people come around the house. But Elliott has a gift for 'the language of cat' and within a matter of days, Valentine was snuggling on the couch with him. He asked me all the right questions upon our initial meeting (what he was expected to do during his pet/housesitting stay & what was considered normal vs unusual behavior for Valentine, etc). He sent me lots of updates and pictures, which allowed us to truly relax during our vacation. Highly recommend!
I've known Elliott his entire life, and he has always been a responsible and loving pet owner and caregiver. He has been trusted from a young age to care for his own pets (dogs, chickens and rabbits); he has also been hired to pet sit for families with dogs and cats, as well as a family with a small farm that includes dogs, chickens, goats, cats and rabbits. He has also worked as a zoo volunteer which included animal care duties. Elliott is dependable, always on time, and extremely loving with animals.
