I've taken care of cats since my brother adopted his little and beautiful Sarabi (like Simba's mom in The Lion King), 8 years ago. She immediately became our favorite family member, and she taught me to respect her time so she could start to feel secure and not be forced by anyone. Her needs. Her favorite toys and respect her decision to be hidden whenever she needed to regain confidence. She transformed the way I think about cats, and she was the one who made me love all of them in their terms, not mine. After Sarabi, I've been a secure place for Martin, Ághata, Guapo, Totoi, and my little Nala. All of them are very different from one another, with their own needs and favorite things to spend time on. Since I decided to almost have my own cat shelter at home, I've been relying on an ethiologist to learn how to introduce them every single time, and in the process, I've also learnt another million exciting things about cats. I am not a professional in this field, but I really respect their expertise, and I am trying to learn as much as I can to provide safe and respectful care for all my cats.
