I usually work park time at a record store, and I sit on my laptop doing other things. I also take two 2-hour walks a day and workout 4x a week. So, I have a lot of free time and I usually don’t go around for more than 3-4 hours a day. My work is pretty stationary and I am actively walking outside, so pets will always have a place in my routine and lifestyle 😇

Safety, trust & environment
I already deal with delicate items at my record store, so I know how to place and shelf items that are important to avoid any damage from pets. I really do emphasize that, because I know how frustrating it’d be to have any issues with your pets breaking stuff and not having any action being done by a sitter. Please let me know if you have any fragile items or areas that are out of bounds and I will adequately ensure that no damages occur during my visits. I have stayed in over 150 apartments for overnight care, and around 300-400 for brief drop-ins. I am extremely experienced in dealing with doormen, key drop offs, and never losing your keys 👌 Unfortunately I cannot board pets in my home because I live with roommates who are allergic :(
Information Abdelkader F. would like to know about your pet
I would like to know in what ways I can accommodate for your prts the best I can! I have administered oral medications and cared for some senior/elderly dogs and cats before. I also took care of infant 4–8-week-old puppies and kittens. If there are things I cannot do, I would be willing to learn! II don't believe in "difficult" pets, and it is my job to adapt to any situation that may arise :) let me know how I can best do that for you
A typical day
I know all types of parks and green and wide areas in the UES, LES, and UWS! I can run, play, and do all sorts of things that big, small, and any type of energetic dog could want to do. I walk for usually 2-3 hours a day, so I know the safest route to get to parks, and I am familiar with good routes on the East or West side rivers, Central Park, and all sorts of parks in the places above. I can go to dog parks, or just walk in serene areas if your dog is antisocial and would prefer a more subtle vibe.

Reviews

Abdelkader is absolutely fantastic! He is always available when I need someone to care for my cat, Stormy, and consistently goes above and beyond. He sends thoughtful updates and check-in messages, which gives me complete peace of mind while I’m away. It’s clear that he genuinely cares about Stormy’s well-being and treats him with kindness and attention. Reliable, communicative, and incredibly caring, Abdelkader has been a wonderful caregiver. I never have to worry when Stormy is in his hands. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for someone trustworthy and compassionate to care for their pets!

Thanks again for taking great care of our cat!

Top notch amazing sitter. He gave me peace of mind about my cat while I've been in the hospital.

Super personable & responsible guy! Took excellent care of my cat and was extremely responsive throughout the process. Would book him again!
